COUNTRYWIDE LENDING
Countrywide Lending is a national mortgage company that has agreed, through the support of the AFL-CIO, to provide our members with a $250 discount on closing costs on all types of loans. They offer a variety of services and loan programs ranging from low to no down payment on new purchases, VA loans, combined new construction loans, home equity line of credit, home improvement loans, and refinancing. We have a special program called HIT HOME which allows the members to qualify at more lenient terms and make biweekly mortgage payments which reduce the total amount of interest paid on the loan. Also, anyone unable to obtain credit will be recommended back to the Housing Department of the Union for credit counseling. All members will be screened for qualifying grant funds during and at the completion of the application process.

RURAL HOUSING
The USAG created a program to help rebuild and expand rural America. The program allows residents of rural communities to buy existing homes, investment property, build a home, or rehabilitate their current home. The programs are direct or guaranteed loans allowing an individual to finance their housing need at current market rates with little or no money out of pocket.
There are lenient income guidelines and some programs even require you to be turned down by a bank!
Rural housing funds are available year round and there are many programs to fit your specific situation.
