Applying for your Pension

TYPES OF PENSION

purple bullet ding DISABILITY RETIREMENT 
You can apply for your disability retirement the date you cease to be employed as a result of a Disability, provided that:

  1. Your have satisfied the applicable vesting requirements as of the date you become disabled and
  2. You have received approval for disability benefits under the federal Social Security Act.

purple bullet ding EARLY RETIREMENT
You can apply for your early retirement when you attain age sixty two (62) and have satisfied the applicable requirement for vesting.

purple bullet ding NORMAL RETIREMENT
You can apply for normal retirement when you attain age sixty five (65)

If your balance is less than $5,00.00 please click here to get a pension application.If your balance is more than $5,000.00 please call the pension office to get a different pension application where you can choose normal form-life only, 50% contingent annuitant or a lump sum distribution.  Along with the applications you will also find the Special Tax Notice Regarding Plan Payment,  you may want to discuss this with a qualified person who is familiar with your tax status.

You will also need to include satisfactory proof of birth (birth certificate, baptismal certificate, state ID, passport, drivers license, etc.) with your application.
