A Message from Our New Acting President of SEIU Local 2000

I am pleased to introduce myself to you as the new acting President of SEIU Local 2000. As your Vice President and Director of the Health Care Division, I fought for your rights on the job every day. I’m excited about taking on this new responsibility and continuing this fight for all of our members.

My predecessor, Grant Williams, has been promoted to work for SEIU in Europe for two and a half years. As the global economy grows, it is so important for us to reach out to our brothers and sisters all over the world. We are proud of Grant’s work here in Missouri and are confident that his leadership will help build the growing labor movement.

As your new President, please join me in welcoming one of our newly organized health care facilities, Cathedral Gardens and give special thanks to the leaders and committee persons: Regina Anthony, Joseph Allen, Kendra Wilson, Carrol Murphy, and LeLani Johnson.

I want to encourage all members to attend our Regular Open Union Meetings held every third Wednesday of the month. Please check the EVENTS CALENDAR for the times and location nearest you. These meetings are a great chance to meet other members and to bring up important issues that need to be addressed. Please attend. We need your participation to build and grow. I encourage you to get involved!
